Description
This particular piece was part of a wedding attire that was most likely hand made by the bride’s mother – a treasure inherited by my sister from her husband’s grandmother. This pattern represents a section of the original motif, unmodified and stitched with the original colours.
Origins: Banat – the South-West part of Romania
This is a downloadable PDF pattern and Basic Instructions and Recommendations that will help you complete this project. It does not come with the supplies but you will get:
– reference photo of finished decoration
– a list of what you need
– pattern with colour codes
– symbol meaning
– a booklet with basic instructions and recommendations that can be applied to any cross stitching project
This design was stitched on 14 count white Aida cloth with 4 strands of embroidery floss and it was mounted on a 5 inch embroidery hoop.
I would love to see your final work. Please share it with me.
Good luck and enjoy,
Mihaela
