Banat Flowers – Counted Cross Stitch Pattern – Romanian Embroidery Motif

$6.27

This pattern was inspired by the embroidery stitched on an old traditional Romanian blouse from Banat Region – Romania.

Banat’s traditional blouses are known for their monochromatic geometric patterns. They are usually stitched with black and gold on white thick cotton fabric.

It’s quite rare to find flowers stitched on blouses in this region. Usually embroidered colourful flowers are reserved for the black aprons worn over skirts.
