The group classes are primarily offered to school-age children and teens (Grades 1-12). Art classes for kindergarten children may be offered based on demand and availability.

Private art classes are available for children and teens in grades 6 and up (high school children and adults are welcome). Exceptions may apply.

Group art classes and Private art classes are offered.

There are 2 types of Group Art Classes:

• Fine Arts: includes traditional forms of creative expression like painting, drawing, and printmaking, as well as loose parts sculpture, wire art, mixed media, clay work, collage, etc. Children are also exposed in this class to art history and famous artists, colour theory, elements and principles of art and design, and art-related literature.
• Fibre Arts and Needlework: involves the manipulation of fabric, yarn, string, thread, macrame cord and any other textile-related material in order to create artistic expressions. This includes techniques like sewing, weaving, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, etc. Fibre arts students will create functional and decorative objects while refining their fine motor skills and attention to detail.

The Private Art Classes offer personalized, one-on-one instruction, tailored to each student’s interests. This unique opportunity provides young artists with focused attention and support to refine their technical skills, explore various techniques, and develop their individual artistic styles. These classes also allow for the exploration of more advanced and specialized topics providing a platform for portfolio development for those interested in pursuing art further.

There are 3 series of 10 classes (1 class/week) during the school year for each age group:

Fall Series: September to December

Winter Series: January to March

Spring Series: April to June

Summer Art Classes are also offered in a different format.

The length of each class is:

• 1 hour for young children up to grade 3
• 1.5 hours for grades 4 and up
• 2 hours on demand for private classes

Some exceptions may apply.

Children are grouped together mainly by age. The group interaction and the exposure to my art classes also play an important role in the placement of children in specific classes. The main goal is for each child to work in an optimal environment and be exposed to a variety of projects.

A positive and respectful attitude is always welcome. All the rest is provided by the instructor.

Most of the group classes are beginner to intermediate level aiming to introduce children to a variety of techniques opening their horizons through art. Exceptions are the groups that attend my classes for a long period of time. Advanced classes are offered in a private setting mainly for drawing.
